I remember the first few weeks after bringing my little girl home. I could stare at her precious and perfect little body all day long. I would have bottled up her soft skin, peach fuzzy hair, long lashes, and baby smell, if I could. Right then I wished that I could freeze time. I was so scared that I would forget a whole lot of the precious moments, and I did. I so wish I had captured more, and I know that many mothers can relate.
These days don't last… they disappear faster than you think.
Can we just freeze time? My newborn baby sessions are just that -
a few hours where we capture all that exciting newborn goodness.
These photo sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home, or alternatively, we can head outdoors to capture your new family in a gorgeous golden glow. These sessions are up to 3 hours long and are baby-led. This means we can go as slowly and relaxed as needed to ensure everyone is comfortable and stress free, with plenty of time for feeds or nappy changes.

When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?
The best time for a newborn photo shoot is dependant on the location. If your after a cosy in-home session then well aim to shoot in the middle of the day between 10am and 2pm. If its an adventurous outdoor session you are after we will aim for a sunrise or sunset shoot to capture you in that amazing golden light.
The best place for a newborn session?
I personally love an in-home session for newborn photos. Its a familier space where you and bub are comfortable and feel safe.
An in-home newborn session takes the pressure off getting dressed up and getting out of the house at a specific time and also allows us to go as slow as needed so if your running late or baby is sick on their outfit its okay because your already at home.
What is the best age for a newborn photos?
Ideally we like to do newborn photos within the first 10 days. If for some reason this can't happen thats okay your baby can be photographed at any age and stage.
Do you provide newborn outfits for the newborn session?
I do have a small set of newborn baby outfits that can be used for your session. These are mostly neutral outfits that can be used for boys or girls and should go with most wardrobe choices. Feel free to ask me for images or bring them along to your session.
Do you photograph the family or just the baby?
I most certainly do. All newborn photo sessions include the parents and siblings, I want to capture you all and the lovely connection you have with your gorgeous new little love. These are for immediate family only but can include extended family for a small additional fee. Feel free to have a chat with me if you are thinking of including extended family.
